Shutter Photo Display

• 3 Old Shutters (Habitat for Humanity store, or flea market)
• Paint - off white, white, wall color
• Sandpaper
• Frames for each photo (dollar store)
• Hot glue
• Double stick tape
• Photos

 

Paint the shutter with off white (if the shutters are plastic, sand before painting). Sand down in spots to create an aged look. Paint the shutters white and then a light coating of the wall color. Sand to relase all colors and looked aged. To frame pictures, remove the backing of the frame. Hot glue the glass to the frame. Use small pieces of double stick tape to attach the photo to your "floating" frame. Use picture hangers and hang them on nails on the shutters. It is now ready to use as a wall hanging.
